The Unit of Comparative Medicine has four major goals:
- To integrate various research resources on the MSC into a single Unit to provide biomedical investigators with specialized animal research facilities which enhance the health and welfare of laboratory animals used in research and in teaching activities.
- To collaborate with other research units and academic programs to enhance our animal research resources.
- To increase high quality research projects using animal models.
- To launch research initiatives and to encourage collaboration with research groups working on new comparative medicine tools and techniques by facilitating scientific interactions with local, national and international facilities.
