The Unit of Comparative Medicine has four major goals:
To integrate various research resources on the MSC into a single Unit to provide biomedical investigators with specialized animal research facilities which enhance the health and welfare of laboratory animals used in research and in teaching activities.
To collaborate with other research units and academic programs to enhance our animal research resources.
To increase high quality research projects using animal models.
To launch research initiatives and to encourage collaboration with research groups working on new comparative medicine tools and techniques by facilitating scientific interactions with local, national and international facilities.
