As a requirement for admission to the Graduate Programs of the School of Nursing, candidates must take the Examination for Admission to Graduate Studies (EXADEP) or the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE).
These exams are offered several times throughout the year, so it is up to the applicant to decide which exam to take and the most convenient date. For the test result taken to be valid, no more than five years must have elapsed from the date it was taken.
It is highly recommended that candidates from abroad take the steps to take the EXADEP admission exam with the Educational Testing Service of Puerto Rico or the GRE. The Educational Testing Service offers the alternative of sending the exam to the country where the applicant resides. To qualify within this option, you must make arrangements well in advance.
Applicants are required to take the EXADEP or GRE admission test on or before the admission deadline. Test results take 5 to 6 weeks to arrive at the School, therefore it is recommended to take an exam dated earlier.
