The Self-Study Committee Chair is Dr. Yasmin Pedrogo, the MSC Dean of Academic Affair and the Co-Chairs are Dr. Wanda I. Colón, the MSC Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and the Director of the Accreditation Office. This last position is currently undergoing recruitment and Dr. Yasmin Pedrogo is the interim director. The Self-Study Steering Committee was appointed by the chancellor in consultation with the Core Leadership Team. Membership includes broad representation from the MSC and school level deanships and offices of academic affairs, student affairs, institutional assessment, administration, and research, along with faculty, non-teaching staff, and student representatives as appropriate. Selection was guided by the following criteria:
Expertise relevant to the MSCHE Standards.
Experience with institutional assessment and evaluation.
Demonstrated leadership and collaborative capacity; and
Commitment to transparency and shared governance.

Responsibilities of the Steering Committee
The Steering Committee provides overall leadership, coordination, and oversight of the self-study process and ensures coherence, rigor, and alignment across all Working Groups.
Steering Committee Oversight Functions
To support Working Groups and reduce duplication of effort, the Steering Committee will:
Convene regular joint meetings of Working Group Chairs and Co-Chairs.
Identify cross-cutting themes and shared lines of inquiry.
Ensure access to institutional data, assessment reports, and analytical support.
Provide timely feedback to strengthen analysis and narrative consistency; and
Ensure the Self-Study Report integrates institutional mission, strategic priorities, MSCHE Standards, and evidence of continuous improvement.
* The Chancellor will ensure that self-study findings are translated into executive decision-making, institutional actions, and aligned resource commitments.
