The Bachelor in Health Sciences is an interdisciplinary, a unique, and non traditional Program that provides excellence education in the area of healthcare to persons holding associate degrees in health related fields such as Radiology Technicians, Ophthalmic Technicians, Dental Assistants, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapy Assistants and other professionals. It also provides these professionals the opportunity of completing their studies towards a bachelor’s degree in the evening to accommodate full-time workers or those with commitments during the day. The curriculum aims to develop competent and caring health professionals that are capable of delivering quality health care management services. Since the academic year 2010-2011, the Bachelor’s in Health Sciences Degree Program offers only the Administration Area in the evening, while the Education Area is inactive.
Admission Requirements
In order to be considered for admission, applicants must comply with the following requirements:
- Hold an Associate Degree with at least 36 semester credits in a health sciences field.
- Obtain a minimum General Grade Point Average at least 2.25 in all required courses.
- A Specific Grade Point Average of at least 2.00 in health related courses (Health Sciences Field courses).
- Satisfactorily complete courses in the areas specified below at an accredited college or university (for specific courses, please contact the program).

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, the following requirements must be met:
- 36 credits in professional courses taken as part of an associate degree in the health sciences or health related fields.
- 30 credits in general education at an accredited college or university.
- 58 60 semester credits comprising 26 credits in administration, 18 20 credits in interdisciplinary courses, and 14 credits in elective courses.
- Obtain a minimum overall grade point average of 2.00 and complete all area option courses with a minimum grade of C.
